Hello, everyone!
I’m Yoshie Aoki.
I changed my host family in late May. They are friendly and always make me laugh. They have a cat and it always comes on my lap when I sit on the sofa. They took me to various places like the sea, restaurants and bowling. I enjoyed all of them. I watch the TV every evening with my host mother, and sometimes we watch movies. I like the time.
I went on a school camping trip to the mountain from June 3rd to 7th. It was sometimes hard, but it’s one of the best memories I have made so far.
I stayed in a cabin. I was in the same room with Thai, Japanese and Australian friends. Every night during the camp we were talking about girl’s talk, and we got to know each other better.
We climbed the mountain and slept in a sleeping bag one night. When I climbed up the mountain, I felt a sense of accomplishment! In the night, we could see a lot of stars! It was the most beautiful starry sky I have ever seen!
We also did rock climbing. Some of the rocks on the climbing wall were small and the top was high, so I was scared. After rock climbing, I kayaked the river. I got in the boat with the teacher, and he told me how to row a boat. Though I have never kayaked before, I think we did well thanks to him.
I could talk with people whom I haven’t talked to before through many activities! Time flew so fast during the camp, but it was a fulfilling 5 days.
